Unselfie

This morning was my first class with Khun Kotoi.  Kotoi and I had a Prathom 3 class. I have always said P4s are antsy because they were getting ready to move up but I think it's more of a developmental stage than I realised. I definitely noticed a few similarities.
After introductions and a morning medley of If You're Happy and You Know it and Heads, Shoulders, Knees and Toes we got to work.  The students were learning about meals.  We reviewed how to say and spell an apple, an orange, veggie soup, meat, fried rice, spaghetti and a sandwich. This was a newly introduced unit so the students were not as confident as the others were with their colours yesterday.
We played a few rounds of hangman and then the students copied down the date and a sentence before it was time for lunch.
At the end of the class each row lined up and said thank you to both teachers before leaving the class.
In the afternoon I had my adorable Prathom 1/2 class again but this time with Pitsuda. It was lovely to see familiar faces that recognised me.  For today's lesson the students were introduced to greetings, namely Hi and Hello. Pitsuda sang them a very cute greeting song that I managed to sing along with her (teacher tip: sometimes you have to fake it til you make it). After the students had completed their workbook page we did a review of colours and numbers using Uno cards until class was finished.  At the end of class Pitsuda did what I've been aching to do this entire week- she took a photo with the children!  So without further ado, here are the first photos of me teaching in Thailand!
